The Village Head Voting and Selection for Kampung Mentiri took place at the Civil Service Club's Multi-Purpose Hall, 19th April morning.

In attendance was Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubaarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim, Acting Brunei Muara District Officer. The two contending candidates were 31-year-old Awang Mohammad Hafizul Syafie bin Md. Don, and Awang Muhammad Asyraf bin Asli, aged 34. Also present was Yang Berhormat Awang Lawi bin Haji Lamat, Member of the Legislative Council.
